Sanjeev Saksena has a rich and varied work experience in the field of electrophysiology and cardiology. Sanjeev is the Founder, Medical Director, and Trustee of the Electrophysiology Research Foundation since 1982. In addition, they served as the President of Cardiac Electrophysiology starting from 1981. Sanjeev has also held positions like Professor of Medicine at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine since 1996 and Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology since 1995. Sanjeev Saksena has further contributed to their field by serving as the Director of the Cardiovascular Institute at Atlantic Health Systems (East) from 1999 to 2004 and as the President of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology from 1997 to 1998. Sanjeev has also held academic positions at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics from 1987 to 1996 and as the Co-Director of the Division of Cardiology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from 1985 to 1988.
Sanjeev Saksena began their education in 1968 at Delhi University, where they pursued a degree in Pre Medical with a field of study in Health/Medical Physics. Sanjeev then attended the All India Institute of Medical Sciences from 1969 to 1973, completing their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Medicine. From 1975 to 1978, Sanjeev Saksena attended SUNY at Stony Brook, where they completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program in Internal Medicine. Lastly, from 1978 to 1980, they studied Cardiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
