Zhien Zhang

Zhien Zhang is a seasoned chemical engineer currently serving as a Senior Chemical Engineer at Sargent & Lundy since January 2024 and as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Cincinnati since October 2022, focusing on modeling subsurface fluid flow and mass transport processes. Zhang has held numerous editorial positions across various prestigious publishing organizations, including Associate Editor roles for Applied Energy and Chemical Papers, and has contributed as an Editorial Supervisor and Assistant Editor for multiple journals. With significant academic experience, Zhang was a Senior Researcher at The Ohio State University and an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University, specializing in carbon capture technologies and process optimization. Zhang earned a Joint PhD in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University and a PhD from Chongqing University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry Mechanics from Yanshan University.
