Maj Gen Jack Briggs Edd (Ret)

Jack Briggs, Maj Gen (Ret), EdD has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership roles. From 1986 to 2017, they served in the United States Air Force, holding the rank of Major General. In this capacity, they were responsible for defense, civil operations support, and security cooperation operations.

Following their military career, Briggs worked as the Vice President of Global Resiliency and Security at New York University from 2017 to 2020. Jack was tasked with managing emergency management, security operations, and technology for NYU's campuses worldwide. Jack also played a significant role in leading NYU's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Briggs founded two consulting ventures, namely Front Right Strategies LLC in 2017 and Ardent Decisions Group LLC in 2020. Through these companies, they provided crisis leadership and mitigation consulting services to businesses.

In 2020, Briggs took on the role of President and CEO at Springs Rescue Mission, where they oversee a large gospel rescue mission. Jack is responsible for programming focused on health, work, and housing, providing meals, shelter, medical assistance, addiction recovery, and job skills training to clients.

Additionally, Briggs served as a strategic advisor at CYBRI™ from 2017 to 2020.

Throughout their career, Briggs has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, crisis management, and serving others.

Jack Briggs, Maj Gen (Ret), EdD has an extensive education background. Jack obtained a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Education Leadership and Innovation from New York University in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in National Security Studies from Air War College in 2005. In 1997, they completed a Master's Degree in International Economics from Budapest University of Economic Science as an Olmsted Scholar. Additionally, they received a Master's Degree in International Relations from Troy University in the same year. In 1986, Jack Briggs earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in History from the United States Air Force Academy.

In addition to their formal education, Jack Briggs has also acquired various certifications in fundraising and development. Jack completed the following courses through Coursera: Planned Giving (February 2019), Major and Principal Gifts (January 2019), Annual Campaigns: Building a Case for Support (November 2018), and Fundraising and Development Fundamentals (October 2018).
