David Ludwig

David Ludwig's work experience includes positions in various organizations spanning different industries. David is currently serving as the Interim Associate Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at St. Lawrence University, where they are responsible for modernizing the university's core infrastructure and enterprise systems. Prior to this role, they were the IT Director of Applications and Infrastructure at the same institution, overseeing the migration of the university's ERP system and Exchange environments to the cloud.

Before joining St. Lawrence University, David worked at the Vermont Army National Guard as an Instructor and All Source Intelligence Analyst. During this time, they instructed courses on cybersecurity and served as the Battalion Equal Opportunity Leader and Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention representative.

David has also held several positions at Middlebury College, including Enterprise Architect and CIO Liaison for the Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium (GMHEC), Middlebury College Technical Lead for ERP and HCM implementations, Director of Enterprise Applications, and Manager of Administrative Systems. In these roles, they were responsible for developing strategic visions, guiding operational support teams, managing enterprise resource planning systems, overseeing IT budgets, and improving technology utilization.

Additionally, David has served as an Oracle Systems Administrator and Team Lead at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, providing critical support services for the clinical dentistry and educational needs of the Dental School. David also worked as an Enterprise Programmer Analyst IV at the University of Louisville, where they led a customization and upgrade team and supported the university's ERP and Oracle databases.

Prior to their positions in academia, David was the President and CEO of Pegasus Rising Business IT Services, where they developed and maintained applications, administered hosting environments, and supported client networks. David also served as the Managing Director of The Highland Computer Company, overseeing daily operations and providing custom programming services.

Overall, David has extensive experience in IT leadership, infrastructure modernization, database administration, application development, and team management.

David Ludwig completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership from Champlain College in the years 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Cultural Anthropology and Computer Information Systems from the University of Louisville in 2017. Furthermore, they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) in Business Administration and Management from Jefferson Community College in Kentucky in 2016. Finally, they received an Associate's degree in Military Intelligence, Command Control and Information Operations from Cochise College in 2010. David also holds additional certifications such as the Proposal Reviewer 2020 from EDUCAUSE, the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management - Version 4 from AXELOS Global Best Practice, and the Proposal Reviewer Plus 2018 from EDUCAUSE.
