Fernando Hönig has a diverse work experience that spans over 20 years. Fernando is the Founder of StackZone, a cloud governance solution for AWS environments that automates the management of AWS workloads. Prior to StackZone, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of nubeGo LATAM, a cloud consultancy firm. Fernando also founded and served as the CEO of nubeGo, a UK-based specialist cloud consultancy firm that focuses on AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure technologies.

In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Fernando has held various leadership roles in the technology industry. Fernando was the Head of Cloud Platform at GFT Group, where they oversaw the cloud platform operations. Before that, they worked as a Cloud Architecture Consultant at Ladbrokes Coral, where they played a key role in building and developing AWS and Google Cloud Enterprise Cloud Framework.

Fernando's career also includes experience at Rackspace, where they worked as a Sr. AWS Cloud Engineer and Sr. DevOps Automation Engineer. Fernando contributed to the product roadmap, provided training and tech talks on AWS, and engaged with customers to deliver solutions.

Earlier in their career, Fernando founded DeltaHost, a hosting company, and worked at Intel Corporation as an Operations Engineer, where they developed monitoring solutions for distributed environments and web applications. Fernando also worked as a Unix Administrator at IBM, where they supported AIX and RedHat Linux systems for Ameriprise Financial.

Throughout their career, Fernando has demonstrated strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of cloud technologies.

Fernando Hönig obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from Universidad Blas Pascal from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Science (AS) in Computer Science at Colegio Universitario IES Siglo 21 from 2005 to 2008. In terms of additional certifications, they received the Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf in June 2020. Fernando also earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Level certification from Amazon Web Services in April 2020. In addition, Fernando obtained the Google Cloud Professional Architect certification from Google in June 2018. Before that, they acquired the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional Level certification from Amazon Web Services in April 2017, and the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification in February 2016. Fernando also holds the AWS Business Professional certification, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification, AWS Technical Professional certification, and AWS Authorized Instructor certification, all obtained in July 2015. Furthermore, they achieved the RHCSA certification from Red Hat in September 2011, and the CCNA certification from Cisco in December 2002. Additionally, Fernando has the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification and the AWS Security Specialty certification, but the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
