Ashley Schuster has a diverse work experience. Ashley started their career as a Barista at Starbucks in 2004 and worked there until 2007. Ashley then worked as an Education Assistant at the Okanagan Heritage Museum from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they worked as an English Teacher at KIDSCO Innsbruck, Austria, where they taught after-school English lessons to children using a play-based approach. From 2011 to 2016, they held various roles at Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, including Client Support Representative, Safe Chat Support Representative, and later as an Associate Technical Writer. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Two Hat Security as a Project Manager and later as a Product Owner, where they focused on developing systems to detect and remove abusive content. Ashley then moved to Bananatag, where they worked as a Senior Customer Onboarding Specialist from 2019 to 2021. In March 2021, Staffbase acquired Bananatag, and Ashley joined Staffbase as the Customer Onboarding Team Lead.

Ashley Schuster obtained a Bachelor of Education - B.Ed, Elementary degree from The University of British Columbia from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts - BA degree in Anthropology from The University of British Columbia from 2003 to 2007. Furthermore, they have obtained various certifications, including The Coaching Leader from Trailblaze Partners in 2023, Coaching Certification (Excelerator Essentials) from Essential Impact in 2022, and Culture-First Leader Certification from Trailblaze Partners in 2021. Ashley also holds a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance in 2018, and has additional certifications in project management and teaching English.
