RJ Walsh is the current head of engineering at Standard Metrics. Prior to this, they were the director of engineering at Aurora for 3 years 9 months, where they built and scaled offboard systems, tools, and teams to enable and accelerate development of the Aurora Driver. RJ also served as the principal engineer and founding engineer at Accompany for 4 years 8 months, delivering iOS and Ruby on Rails solutions to product needs and helping scale the platform and system to accommodate thousands of users and millions of objects. Additionally, RJ was the founder and director of engineering at StackMap LLC for 6 years, where they built applications to help students and librarians be more efficient by providing advanced wayfinding capabilities. Most recently, RJ was the founder and VP of engineering at Zanbato Group for 3 years 3 months, where they led a small full-stack engineering team to deliver a platform for infrastructure investing. RJ has also interned at Google as an associate product manager intern for 4 months and at Mozilla Corporation as a webdev intern for 4 months. Additionally, they served as a project engineer at Stanford Internet Solutions for 1 year 3 months and as a software developer at HomeSeer Technologies, LLC for 3 years 3 months.

RJ Walsh has a Master of Science from Stanford University in Computer Science, which they completed in 2012. RJ also has a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University in Computer Science, which they completed in 2011.
