Tenzin Chomphel is a Technology Policy Researcher at Stanford University's Cyber Policy Center, focusing on the interdisciplinary study of technology, governance, and public policy since January 2024. Previously, Tenzin served as a Project Coordinator for Data Policy at the World Economic Forum's Centre for the 4th Industrial Revolution from September 2021 to January 2024. Tenzin's earlier experience includes roles as a Data and Communications Specialist in the City of Carlsbad's Office of Innovation & Economic Development and various positions at UC San Diego, including Graduate Teaching Assistant in Political Science and Intern in the Graduate Division Student Affairs. Additional internships have been completed at the East West Center, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, alongside editorial leadership at the Prospect Journal of International Affairs. Tenzin Chomphel holds a Master of International Affairs from UC San Diego School of Global Policy and Strategy and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies-Political Science from UC San Diego.
