Yi-Ching Ong

Yi-Ching Ong, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director of the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University since July 2023. Prior to this role, Yi-Ching was at Princeton University for nearly a decade, holding positions such as Senior Associate Director of Experiential Learning and Director of Service Focus, where responsibilities included engaging faculty, students, and community partners in civic engagement initiatives. Yi-Ching's academic background features substantial experience in global health and health policy, with a focus on the social patterning of infectious diseases. Previously, Yi-Ching held research and teaching positions at Columbia University, Stanford University School of Medicine, and Stanford University, contributing to interdisciplinary research and education. Yi-Ching earned a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Stanford University and holds degrees from the University of Oxford and Harvard University.
