Rocco J Rotello has a long and varied work experience. In 2021, they are the Director of Laboratory Operations at STAQ Pharma, where they lead the team in developing an Analytical Chemistry and Microbiology Lab function capable of supporting product development and commercial release operations. Rocco J is also responsible for achieving certification of the lab function consistent with FDA guidance and inspection. From 2010 to 2021, they were an Associate Professor at Cedarville University, where they delivered Pharmaceutical Science curriculum and a new Pharmacogenomic course. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Senior Scientist in Medical & Technical Affairs at Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, where they provided medical information services to health care professionals and patients. From 1994 to 2007, they were a Senior Scientist at Procter & Gamble, where they were a core biotechnology leader for antibody and histology related projects. Finally, from 1991 to 1994, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University, where they researched mammalian cell death genes and proteins related to the nematode cell death genes.

Rocco J Rotello received a Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology and Apoptosis from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Rocco J also earned a Master's degree in Anatomy & Cell Biology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center between 1983 and 1985. Prior to that, they obtained a BA in Chemistry & Biology from Chadron State College.
