Shahid Shifteh

Shahid Shifteh has extensive work experience in the insurance industry, holding various roles at different companies. Shahid started their career at AIG in 1983, working as an Actuarial Analyst and progressing to Systems Analyst and Programmer. At AIG, Shahid managed a staff of 300 and oversaw the development and deployment of underwriting and claims systems.

Shahid also worked at Madison Consulting Group as a Managing Director, where they performed consulting assignments for Kemper and Allstate. Shahid served as a program manager for the deployment of third-party claims administration software for Kemper Insurance Company.

In 2000, Shahid joined AIG again, working in several roles including Vice President, Chief eBusiness Officer, and Vice President, Operations and Systems Executive Latin America Region. In these positions, they developed web strategies, implemented web sites, and managed system and technology strategies for various international regions.

In 2008, Shahid became the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at American International Underwriters, overseeing technology supporting property and casualty operations outside of the United States and Canada. Shahid supervised the development and deployment of internal software and initiated an initiative to obtain CMM Level Three certification for the company's IT support team.

In 2017, Shahid joined Milluk, Inc. as a Principal, before moving to their current role as Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Starr Insurance Companies in 2019. In this position, they are responsible for the information technology supporting insurance operations globally.

Shahid Shifteh attended New York University from 1979 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science.
