The Role

You are the fuel on the fire of our sales machine. This might be your first role out of college, or you are looking to transition into a career in sales – either way, you will be sure to learn the best practices to succeed in your role and accelerate your career in technology. You will receive a healthy dose of coaching and make a difference at StarRez. You will support our growth ambitions by prospecting into accounts to qualify deals for the sales team. 

Role Specifics

Location: Remote, US 

What You Will Own

The Sales Development Representative position includes, but is not limited to, the following:  

  • Research accounts and contacts to get a deep understanding of their roles and business

  • Send personalized prospecting emails about the StarRez product to ideal customers

  • Make prospecting phone calls and carry out conversations with our ideal customers

  • Communicate and interact with our ideal customers through social media

  • Overcome objections and maintain a high-level of knowledge of competitor offerings

  • Communicate and interact with other key teams in our revenue organization

  • Achieve your monthly pipeline generated, bookings sourced, and activity quota

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or other relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year in B2B software sales

  • Experience with Sales Engagement Platforms OR CRM tools

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications

  • Strong collaboration, teamwork, and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions within an organization

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working in/with higher education institutions

  • Experience working with higher education housing or with PropTech

  • Intellectually curious with a genuine interest in learning more about people

  • Flexibility to work with prospects in different time zones (including internationally)
