Jason Starkey

Jason Starkey has extensive experience in Information Technology, spanning over two decades. Jason began their career as a Software Quality Assurance Technician for Digital Access Corporation - Acquired by American Systems. Jason was later promoted to Senior Network Technician and then to Senior Network Engineer, overseeing the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Services’ public web servers and major applications located at American Systems’ Lorton facility. Key contributions in their role included configuring and implementing security controls in the Food and Nutrition Service’s systems, which resulted in a successful Federal Certification and Accreditation process.

Jason has also worked for the USDA as an IT Specialist, where they were responsible for analyzing statistics, identifying component malfunctions, developing solutions, and implementing system modifications. Jason served as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR Level 1) and was the Branch expert on network performance. Jason later joined Darkblade Systems as Director of Information Technology, where they managed the Information Technology department and staff. Jason planned, implemented, and managed all information systems and technology for the company and enhanced Darkblade System’s Information Technology service offerings to clients/potential clients. Jason is currently working at StartGuides as Director Information Technology Operations.

Jason Starkey earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology Network Administration and Information Security from George Mason University from 1998 to 2005.
