Maria Redmond has extensive experience in sustainability and energy management, currently serving as the Director of the Wisconsin Office of Sustainability and Clean Energy since February 2001. In this role, Maria leads efforts to implement an energy plan aimed at combating climate change through the promotion of clean energy resources and technology, emphasizing justice and equity. Previously, Maria managed the Wisconsin Office of Energy Innovation, overseeing federally funded programs and initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and renewable energy in the state. Additionally, Maria has successfully secured substantial federal funding for energy-related programs and has held positions in procurement and program coordination. Maria holds a BA in Psychology and multiple certifications in Management and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
