Mike Irwin

Mike Irwin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and planning, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Strategy & Planning for US SPDR ETFs at State Street Global Advisors since May 2013. Irwin has a proven track record in launching strategic initiatives, notably the successful low-cost SPDR Portfolio ETFs, which achieved over $100 billion in assets under management within four years. Prior to this role, Irwin held positions focused on analysis and insights, as well as corporate strategy at State Street. Additional experience includes a business development internship at Genzyme Corporation, consulting roles at Liberty Mutual Insurance, and consulting work at Mars & Co. Irwin holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cornell University.
