Derek Yap

Derek Yap has a strong background in account management and business development. Derek is currently working as a Senior Key Account Manager at Statista, focusing on the technology, telco, financial services, and insurance sectors in the APAC region. Prior to this, they worked at Oxford Economics as a Business Development Manager, where they provided reports, forecasts, and analytical tools on global economic and industry trends. Before that, Derek was a Senior Account Manager at Preqin, where they were responsible for bringing in new business and managing accounts for existing customers. Derek also attended conferences to promote brand awareness and build business relationships with financial institutions. Additionally, they have experience as a Fund Accountant at Custom House Global Funds Services Ltd., where they managed multiple funds on a daily basis and ensured accuracy in portfolio information.

Derek Yap attended Anglo Chinese School (Barker Road) from 1998 to 2001. Derek then enrolled in Anglo-Chinese Junior College from 2002 to 2003, where they acquired their GCE A Level. Finally, Derek completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance at the University of London from 2007 to 2009.
