Alun Darwood

Alun Darwood has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Alun began their career at Risk101 in 2001, where they held the role of Director & Senior Risk Consultant. Alun'sresponsibilities included planning, developing, and implementing financial solutions for clients, consulting on financial market risk and compliance requirements, as well as software development and database design. Additionally, Darwood provided general financial management and strategic direction as a director of the company. Alun then moved to StatPro in 2016, where they held various roles, including Analytics Consultant, Head of Risk, and Head of Services in South Africa. Currently, Darwood is the Head of Client Consultants at Confluence, a position they started in 2022.

Alun Darwood has an extensive education history. Alun completed their M.Com degree in Financial and Risk Management at the University of Cape Town from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration at Stellenbosch University from 2000 to 2001. Alun'seducation journey started with a BSc in Civil Engineering at the University of Cape Town, which they completed from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their academic qualifications, Alun Darwood has also obtained a certification in the CFA Institute Performance Attribution online self-paced course from the CFA Institute, which they achieved in March 2023.
