Head of Goalkeeping and Set pieces at StatsBomb

Maths Elfvendal has a strong background in coaching and training goalkeepers. Maths started their career as a Goalkeeper Coach at Umeå Fotball Club in 2010, where they worked until 2014. During this time, they also served as a Goalkeeper Coach at Umeå IK from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, Elfvendal joined IFK Norrköping as the 1st Team Goalkeeper Coach and Head of Goalkeeping, a position they held until 2021. During their time at IFK Norrköping, they also worked as a Goalkeeper Coach at IF Sylvia from 2014 to 2016. In 2021, they joined Parma Calcio 1913 as the Goalkeeper Coach for the First Team. Additionally, Elfvendal has experience working with the Swedish Football Association as a Goalkeeper Coach for the Men's National Team since 2016. Currently, Elfvendal holds the position of Head of Goalkeeping and Set Pieces at StatsBomb, starting from July 2022.

Maths Elfvendal received their education starting in 2009 at Umeå University, where they obtained a degree in "Ämneslärarexamen med inriktning mot gymnasieskolan" with a focus on "Samhällskunskap och Religion". From 2012 to 2014, Maths pursued further education through the Swedish Football Association, earning an "Advanced Goalkeeper Coach" degree. In 2018, they attended UEFA for a short period to acquire a "Goalkeeping A-license" in their field of study.
