Albert Colom Mulet

Albert Colom Mulet has a diverse work experience in the field of backend development. Albert started their career in 2011 with IMAP Internet Marketing, where they worked as a web developer, specializing in website development and online shops. Albert then co-founded Loikos, a marketplace for small businesses, where they gained experience in creating projects from scratch.

In 2013, Albert joined IBM as a web developer, contributing to the development of a security and audit suite for "La Caixa". During this time, they worked with PHP, Oracle, MySQL, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Active Directory.

Following their stint at IBM, Albert worked at IN2 - INGENIERIA DE LA INFORMACION as a web developer. Albert was responsible for developing various projects, particularly back-office systems for pharmaceutical companies. Notably, this was their first experience applying testing strategies.

Albert then joined Atrápalo as a PHP backend developer for the Activities and Shows section. Here, they implemented hexagonal architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) in a professional capacity. Albert also gained experience with technologies such as PHPUnit, Vagrant, JenkinsCI, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Sphinx, ElasticSearch, and NewRelic.

In 2018, Albert joined Uvinum as a senior PHP developer in the affiliation team. Albert was involved in importing different products and successfully implemented a parallelized import process using queues. Albert also contributed to the migration of the system to AWS and gained experience in Grafana for process metrics.

Albert then joined PromoFarma.com as a backend developer in charge of the development and maintenance of their European Marketplace. Albert worked with different teams utilizing microservices and communication via messaging. Albert'sresponsibilities included working with PHP, PHPUnit, Behat, Mountebank, GraphQL with TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, DDD, CQRS, GitLab CI/CD, AWS, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, ElasticSearch, and Datadog.

Before their current position, Albert worked at Signaturit as a backend developer in the Growth Team. Albert'sresponsibilities included defining and developing new functionalities using PHP (Symfony), PHPUnit, Docker, DDD, CQRS, JenkinsCI, AWS, MySQL, SQS, AWS Lambda with Serverless, Redis, GitHub Actions, Sonarcloud, ElasticSearch, Datadog, and Sentry.

Currently, Albert works as a backend developer at Stayforlong, starting in 2022.

Albert Colom Mulet began their education in 2007 at IES NICOLAU COPERNIC, where they pursued a degree in Técnico superior en Administración de Sistema Informáticos. Albert completed this program in 2009. Following this, in 2009-2010, they enrolled at IES NICOLAU COPERNIC again, this time for a CFGS degree in Técnico superior en Desarrollo de aplicaciones Informáticas. Finally, from 2013 to 2024, Albert attended Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, where they are currently pursuing a Grado en Ingeniería Informática.
