Astrid Drew is an experienced archivist and researcher with a strong background in historical preservation and archival practices. Currently serving as Archivist and Research and New Media Coordinator at the Steamship Historical Society of America since August 2009, Astrid previously held roles as a Historical Researcher for the Rhode Island Swedish Heritage Association and as an Archives Intern at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Astrid's expertise includes collecting oral histories and managing sensitive materials in compliance with privacy regulations. Hands-on experience was gained as an Assistant Archivist at the Pembroke Center's Feminist Theory Archives, where Astrid processed substantial archival collections. Additionally, Astrid has contributed as Editor-in-Chief for Interrobang?! Magazine from 2009 to 2013. Educational credentials include a Master of Library Science from Simmons University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Rhode Island.
