Karen Girolami Callam

Karen Girolami Callam is an accomplished communications consultant and teaching artist with extensive experience in education, advocacy, and organizational communication. Since October 2017, Karen has worked with the Steans Family Foundation, focusing on storytelling and professional development in early childhood education. As a consultant for the National Association of Charter School Authorizers and through KGC Consulting since 1998, Karen specializes in crafting impactful narratives in both Spanish and English for various educational institutions and organizations. Previous roles include serving as Director of Communications at the Latino Institute and as a teaching artist at the Old Town School of Folk Music. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University and has furthered their education at the Universidad de Sevilla.
