Paola Than

Paola Than, CIA, CRCM has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Paola is currently working as the SVP Director of Business Risk & Control at Stellar Bank. Prior to this, they served as the SVP Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer at Allegiance Bank from June 2021 to October 2022. Paola also held the position of VP Compliance Officer at Allegiance Bank from May 2016 to October 2022. Before joining Allegiance Bank, Paola worked as a Senior Associate Consultant at Briggs & Veselka Co. from January 2011 to May 2016. Paola started their career at Bank of America as an Assistant Manager from August 2006 to December 2010.

Paola Than obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and General Business Administration with a minor in Management from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2010. Paola later received the certification of Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2016 and became a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager through the American Bankers Association in 2015.
