Field Engineering Manager at Stemrad

Rico joined StemRad in 2019 as the Lead Field Engineer for StemRad with primary responsibilities within the StemRad Medical vertical. In October of 2020 he was promoted to the position of Manager, Field Engineering. Prior to joining StemRad, Rico was a clinical engineer at Tampa General Hospital. While working there he provided representation for 26 biomedical technicians and played a vital role in the decision-making process for a five-year, $100 million physical and network driven medical device upgrade plan. He has extensive knowledge of medical device integration and clinical applications. Rico joined the United States Air Force Reserves in January 2016 and currently serves at MacDill AFB with the rank of Senior Airman. He serves in a functional capacity to ensure the readiness of 2,800 medical devices. Initially, Rico served at Fort Sam Houston, TX which is where he completed a 12-month rigorous biomedical technology curriculum and graduated top three in his class. After receiving his A.A.S in biomedical equipment technology from the Community College of the Air Force, Rico went on to complete his B.Sc. degree in Business Administration from Trident University International.
