Lisa McDonnell

Manager, R&D Cell Culture at Stemson Therapeutics

Lisa McDonnell, M.S., brings over ten years of scientific experience to the Stemson Therapeutics team. She has a dynamic background in sophisticated cell and tissue culture models utilizing primary and stem cell populations from a range of species. Lisa has extensive experience with 3D in vitro evaluation of cell therapies and applied these skills to developing novel approaches to simulate the in vivo environment. Prior to joining Stemson, Lisa worked at Intrexon utilizing ES & iPS cells to develop an in vitro platform to produce functional gametes for the purpose of developing IVF therapies. She has also worked at the University of California Irvine Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Center on projects using bioengineering approaches to investigate and influence the differentiation pathways of neural stem cells. She received her B.S. and M.S. from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in Animal Science where she investigated a novel in vitro model of mammary tissue.
