Diversity & Inclusion Lead at Stena Line

Salem Yohannes has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Salem began their career as a Student Ambassador at Högskolan Väst in 2011. Salem then worked as a Dance Teacher at Twisted Feet Dance Academy, creating and leading classes in various dance styles. In 2014, they joined Ung Scen/Öst as an Educator, where they developed security routines and education materials for theater shows. Salem worked as a Concept Developer at SVT, contributing to the creation of new TV formats and scouting diverse talent. Salem also worked as a Creative at Matter from 2015-2016. In 2018, they became a Planning Manager for Human Rights at Göteborgs Stad, conducting a study on minorities' experiences of racism and developing a plan against racism. Salem worked as a Consultant specializing in equality related to ethnicity and skin color from 2014-2021. Salem later became an Educator at Länsstyrelsen Stockholm, working on a project to open up the labor market for everyone regardless of skin color. Currently, Salem is the Diversity & Inclusion Lead at Stena Line, responsible for developing and facilitating the company's diversity and inclusion efforts.

Salem Yohannes completed a course in Digital Strategy at Berghs School of Communication in 2016. From 2010 to 2014, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from University West. In 2012, they studied Legal foundations and Civil law at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg. In 2017 and 2018, Salem Yohannes pursued studies in Public Administration at the University of Gothenburg.
