Job description

Stengel Hill Architecture is currently seeking a highly motivated and creative Mid-Level Interior Designer to sit in our Lexington office. The candidate shall have an excellent work ethic and experience working on multiple projects, in all stages of the design, thrive in a creative and collaborative environment, and easily adapts to changing priorities and tasks.

Position Expectations and Role:

  • Collaborate with Design Team members, Architects, and consultants to create and develop full design concepts for the client’s needs.

  • Assist in the design, organization, and project management of all phases of design.

  • Develop and attend presentations with clients and consultants.

  • Selecting Interior Finishes, furniture, artwork, and signage.

  • Develop space plans, furniture plans, and construction documents.

  • Review of drawings, mockups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors.

  • Provide research to design problems and generate design solutions.

  • Some travel will be required.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture.
  • 5 or more years of experience in design-related projects.
  • Healthcare Design experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Revit and CAD experience welcome and beneficial.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Knowledge in Bluebeam is preferred, but not required.
  • Execution and knowledge of working drawings and construction documents, custom millwork, furniture drawings, and design.
  • Experience in all project phases.
  • Knowledge of finish materials and building codes.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, organized, and reliable.
  • NCIDQ, EDAC, and state certifications is preferred, but not required.
