Aashiq Mirza

Aashiq Mirza is currently serving as a Principal Scientist in mRNA Vaccine Research and Development at Pfizer since May 2023. Aashiq has held multiple academic positions at Weill Cornell Medicine, including Instructor in Pharmacology, and conducted significant research as a Postdoctoral Research Associate focused on the role of m6A methylation in acute myeloid leukemia. Aashiq is also a Visiting Associate Professor at Tokyo Medical University, where contributions include the development of a nucleic acid-based precision medicine program and managing a collaboration on AI-driven Precision Medicine. As an Expert Consultant at Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen, Aashiq provides expertise in type 1 diabetes biology. Aashiq's previous roles include a Guest Editor for MDPI, Scientist in assay development at Acuamark Diagnostics, and various research positions at Tokyo Medical University and Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research. Aashiq holds a PhD in Cellular and Genetic Medicine from the University of Copenhagen and advanced degrees in Biotechnology.
