IJsbrand has expertise in international M&A transactions, cross-border mergers, private equity and corporate restructuring. In addition, he is also a civil law notary specialist and a member of the Royal Regulatory Board of Civil Law Notaries.

He has a Master of Dutch and Notarial law from the University of Amsterdam (1995).

He attended the Stibbe MBA Highlights Programme on corporate finance and business strategy. Furthermore, between 2000 and 2003, IJsbrand worked in thei New York office specializing in corporate and financial transactions.
