Roel Braeken

Roel Braeken currently serves as the director and founder of IKC Sloterdijk at Stichting Openbaar Basis Onderwijs Westelijke Tuinsteden since September 2023. Previously, Roel has held several leadership roles within the organization, including director at Openbare basisschool Osdorpse Montessorischool and Openbare Basisschool Slotermeerschool, along with a position as adjunct director at the latter. Roel’s career in education began as a group teacher and included roles as an interim director and group teacher across various schools. Roel holds multiple degrees, including a Vakbekwaam schoolleider from the Nederlandse School voor Onderwijsmanagement and advanced degrees in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam, complemented by a foundational degree in education from Zuyd Hogeschool.
