Yarko Petryshyn has a diverse work experience starting in 2005 as a Special Assistant for Western and Northern Canada to the Honourable Belinda Stronach in the Government of Canada. Yarko then served as a Special Assistant to Senator Rod Zimmer in the Senate of Canada. In 2007, they became the Legislative Assistant to the Leader of the Manitoba Liberal Party in the Government of Manitoba. Moving to British Columbia, Yarko worked as an Articled Student at Davison Law before joining the Government of British Columbia as an Executive Assistant to the Minister of Environment and later, as a Ministerial Assistant to the Minister of Small Business, Red Tape Reduction, and Liquor Distribution. Yarko has also worked as a Campaign Aide for the Todd Stone Leadership Campaign in the BC Liberal Party. Yarko's experience in the Government of Canada continued as they served as a Regional Affairs Advisor to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, and as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Tourism, Official Languages, and La Francophonie. Currently, they are the Director of Business Development at STN Video.

Yarko Petryshyn has a diverse education history. Yarko first earned a Bachelor's Degree in B.Comm (Hons) Finance and Marketing from the University of Manitoba in an unspecified year prior to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Law- JD/LL.B. degree at the University of Leicester, which they completed between the years 2010 and 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Yarko obtained an Executive Training Certification from Dale Carnegie Training in March 2020. Yarko also holds a Certificate of Qualification, which was awarded by the Federated Law Societies of Canada - National Committee on Accreditation in November 2013.
