Mairon G. Bastos Lima is a Senior Research Fellow at the Stockholm Environment Institute and a Research Coordinator at Trase, both positions held since March 2021. In addition, Mairon serves on the Steering Committee of Focali and was previously a Postdoctoral Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology until February 2021, as well as Wageningen UR until November 2015, focusing on REDD+ results-based finance in Latin America. Mairon's consultancy work includes coordinating climate-smart agriculture initiatives for FANRPAN and contributing to biocultural conservation projects in collaboration with the Institute for Environmental Studies. Mairon’s academic background includes a PhD in Environmental Studies from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a Master’s from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor's and Licenciado in Biology from Universidade Federal do Paraná.
