Mikael Fristedt Westre

Mikael Fristedt Westre has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mikael started their career as a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where they gained valuable skills in analysis, problem-solving, and project management. Mikael then worked as a Manager in Business Development at Danone, where they focused on sales, customer needs, negotiations, and account management. Next, Mikael founded their own startup called Outbirds AB, where they built a team and developed a social platform. After that, they joined Stora Enso as a Senior Manager in Business Development, responsible for strategic projects within the Packaging Solutions division. Mikael later became the CEO of Box Inc, a corporate venture aimed at transforming the packaging industry through an online marketplace. Currently, Mikael holds the position of Head of Business Development at Stora Enso's Emerging Business unit, driving innovation and scaling of sustainable materials, services, and technology. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member and Business Advisor at Talent Journey, contributing to the improvement of tech recruitment processes. Mikael's work experience demonstrates their expertise in business development, strategy, project management, and entrepreneurship.

Mikael Fristedt Westre attended Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium from 1999 to 2002, where they earned their high school diploma in Natural Sciences. Mikael then went on to study at Stockholm School of Economics from 2003 to 2007, obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Accounting and Finance. In 2007, they pursued further education at HEC Paris, completing a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Accounting and Finance as well. Lastly, in 2014 and 2015, they attended IMD but did not complete a specific degree or field of study.
