About the role We are looking for a Senior Marketing Technology Specialist to take functional ownership of our Customer Data Platform, Marketing Technology and AdTech tools and platforms as well as our integrations and technical setup of third party tools and platforms.

The Marketing Technology team is passionate about data, automation, APIs, statistical models, technology and innovation. Working with an Agile mindset we strive to continuously deliver value for the business and enable the marketing teams to become best-in-class within their fields. We are responsible for building capabilities which can solve a variation of both easy and complex use cases by handling big amounts of data and being able to communicate with other platforms via APIs or web services. 

We have dedicated software engineering resources within the team allowing us to develop and maintain proprietary customized solutions and quickly turn ideas into a value generating product. On top of this we partner with Marketing, Data, Technology and Analytics teams to understand the challenges we face and co-create solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Working with marketing teams to understand their challenges and opportunities.
  • Using your technical marketing background to come up with ideas on how  to improve processes and enable growth and co-create solutions to achieve this.
  • Playing the role of a product owner for solutions developed by the software engineers within the Marketing Technology team.
  • Defining clear requirements for developer teams both within and outside the team.
  • Working closely with marketing, technology, analytics and data teams to understand the environment we operate in and operationalize solutions in the most effective way.
  • Staying up to date with latest developments in marketing technology and work with vendors/partners to understand opportunities and gaps.
  • Supporting the development of the vision for our marketing technology tech stack covering a wide range of topics from spend optimization to personalization.

Impact and Contributions

  • You will take the functional ownership of a broad tool set (both proprietary or acquired) which drives significant revenue and enables us to operate efficiently and effectively at scale across multiple marketing channels. Through this you play an integral role in shaping our future tech stack and enable marketing teams to gain and maintain competitive advantage.

Experience and Attributes we'd like to see

  • At least 6 years experience in PPC/Paid Social with a focus on technology and automation. Additional marketing channel experience is an advantage
  • Proven focus on spend management solutions like automated bidding in Paid Search
  • Experience of working with inhouse developers to deliver solutions for marketing
  • Attention to detail and the willingness to deep dive into data and processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English
  • Experience working with a customer data platform is a plus
