The position

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning user experiences across our digital marketplace. As a key member of our product team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our product and driving innovation in the aviation industry. What you will do

• Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for our digital marketplace

• Leverage a human-centered design process to deliver an easy-to-use web application user interface and user experience

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify, collect and evaluate user requirements

• Collaborate closely with marketing, product management, and software development (currently two teams, expected to grow in the future) to ensure product quality and maximize customer success

• Create high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, visual and graphic designs, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups

• Design new graphical user interface elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, widgets etc. and challenge the existing status quo

• Establish typography and graphic design style guidelines and standards

• Stay updated on industry trends and conduct competitor analysis to ensure designs are innovative and competitive

• With a high-level technical acumen, you collaborate effectively with developers to implement designs and ensure fidelity throughout the development process

• You're a team player with strong problem-solving competence, capable of working autonomously

• Your passion lies in solving complex problems and creating innovative solutions that drive business results

• You're inherently curious and eager to step out of your comfort zone, embracing opportunities to learn and grow

What you bring

• Degree (FH, BSc, MSc) in Design, HCI, or relevant discipline

• 5+ years of professional hands-on experience in UX/UI design, preferably in a fast-paced, agile environment

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of web platforms projects demonstrating expertise in user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design

• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating insights into actionable design recommendations

• Proficiency in UX design, wireframing, and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, InVision etc.

• Working knowledge of agile principles (SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban, ...)

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Additional plus 

• Familiarity with launching or scaling e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Understanding of the aviation industry, aerospace (MRO) business or related fields
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
