Erin Cline Davis

Erin Cline Davis has been working in the field of marketing and communications since 2006. In 2006, they were one of 14 people selected nationally for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellows Program, which included writing for the LA Times Health section. Erin then took on a number of other scientific writing projects, including writing and editing grant applications for both basic science and medical researchers at top tier universities. In 2007, they joined 23andMe as employee #24 and developed disease descriptions and genetics explanations for lay audiences that comprised the bulk of the health portion of the product. Erin also managed, edited and wrote for the company’s corporate blog. In 2010, they joined Weber Shandwick’s Element Scientific Communications as a Scientific Communications Manager. Erin then joined Sequenta, Inc./ Adaptive Biotechnologies Corp. as the Director of Marketing and Communications, Clinical Products in 2013. In 2015, they returned to 23andMe as the Director of Executive Communications. In 2017, they joined Counsyl as the Associate Director of Patient Marketing. In 2019, they joined Illumina as the Associate Director of Brand Marketing and Director of CEO Communications. In 2020, they joined Rebus Biosystems as the Director of Marketing and in 2021, they joined Strata Oncology as the Senior Director of Marketing.

Erin Cline Davis obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999. Erin then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular and Cellular Physiology from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2006. In 2012, they earned a Master's Degree in Biotechnology Enterprise and Entrepreneurship from The Johns Hopkins University in 2015. Additionally, they have a Healthcare Marketplace certification from Coursera Course Certificates.
