James Ezell

James Ezell has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. James is currently the VP Finance & Treasurer at Strategic Materials, where they are responsible for accounting, finance, and treasury functions. Prior to this, they worked at Sysco as the Executive- Head of Corp FP&A, leading global budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions. James also supported M&A pipeline and execution and led cross-functional projects to remove structural costs. Earlier in their career, James served as the Chief Financial Officer for Sysco's Northeast Market and held various positions at Performance Food Group, MeadWestvaco, Anthem, and Packaging Corp. of America.

James Ezell attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting and Finance. James later pursued an Executive Education program at Northwestern University, focusing on Linking Strategy and Execution. In 2021, James began their Executive Education at Texas A&M University, specializing in Disruptive Innovation.
