Achim Weiß

Achim Weiß has been the Chief Product Officer of STRATO AG and Managing Director of IONOS since 2018.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the European Internet industry. In 1995 he co-founded Schlund+Partner AG. The German web pioneer based in Karlsruhe was acquired by 1&1 in 1998. As 1&1's Chief Technology Officer until 2008, Weiß developed, among other things, the world's first web hosting platform for the rapidly growing mass market.

As one of the leading experts in the field of developing massively scalable Internet infrastructures, Achim Weiß founded in 2010 in Berlin ProfitBricks, the first German provider of cloud infrastructure (IaaS) solutions. After 1&1 acquired ProfitBricks in 2017, Achim Weiß returned to the board of directors of 1&1. In 2018 he was appointed Product Manager of STRATO and CEO of IONOS.
