Andrew Harkenrider

Andrew Harkenrider is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software and controls engineering, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer for Vehicle Fuel Cells at General Motors since April 2015. In this role, Andrew also acts as the Global Engine Torque Control Specialist and Leader, focusing on the design and control of engine torque estimation. Parallel to this, Andrew has held the position of Senior Controls Engineer at Strattec Security Corporation since May 2019. Andrew’s career in the automotive industry began at Chrysler in December 1996, progressing from Software Engineer to Supervisor Software Controls Engineer. Earlier experience includes a software engineering role at General Motors from 1993 to 1996. Andrew holds a degree from Oakland University.
