Heesung Sohn

Heesung Sohn has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Heesung currently holds the position of Sr. Platform Engineer / SDE at StreamNative since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from June 2020 to March 2022 as a Software Development Engineer, where they contributed to the development of various projects such as the Aurora Mysql Serverless v2 and the Amazon Forecast service. Before their time at AWS, Heesung worked at Amazon from December 2016 to March 2018, where they developed a Price Gouging detection system for Amazon.com globally. Heesung also gained experience at Tapjoy as a Data Science Engineer from December 2013 to November 2016, and as a Data Science Intern from September 2013 to November 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Unity Game Developer Intern at TigerPunch from January 2012 to June 2012. Through these roles, Heesung has acquired expertise in software development, data science, and game development.

Heesung Sohn has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Heesung further pursued their education at Cornell University, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Science from 2012 to 2013.
