Sai Samant

Sai Samant is currently a Software Engineer at Strike Graph. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Tableau Software from March 2020 to December 2021. There, they worked as a software developer on the e-commerce team in Enterprise Applications. From August 2017 to December 2019, Sai worked as a Software Engineer at Amazon on the Silk Explore team, which is responsible for the Silk browser's content delivery back-end. Sai also has experience as a student software engineer, having attended Ada Developers Academy from February 2017 to January 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington Institute for Language and Brain Sciences from October 2015 to December 2016, where they supported data analysis on a project investigating early childhood second language acquisition and coded recordings for linguistic features. Sai also has experience as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School from September 2012 to April 2014 and as a Research Consultant at the University of Michigan School of Public Health from June 2007 to June 2009. Finally, Sai was a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan from September 2003 to June 2007.

Sai Samant has earned a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School. Sai also holds a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Washington. In addition, they have obtained certification in Reproducible Research, Exploratory Data Analysis, and R Programming from Coursera.
