Yu Sun

Yu Sun has a diverse work experience in the field of optical communication systems. They started their career at Optium Corporation in 2004 as a senior optical engineer, where they were responsible for system design, technical analysis, and the development of customized optical analog systems. They also played a role in designing and evaluating system performance for various applications. In 2008, they joined SubCom as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they continued to work on system design and technical analysis, focusing on high-speed optical communication systems. They also led the development of customized systems and supported project implementation. Recently, in 2022, Yu Sun transitioned into the role of Director of System Design at SubCom.

Dr. Yu Sun earned their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Photonics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, from 1997 to 2003.
