Purva Sawant

Purva Sawant has over 10 years of experience in the design field. Purva began their career in 2011 as a Graphic Design Intern at Sixofus Design, where they worked on a variety of projects ranging from outdoor photography to website design to book making. In 2012, they became a Communications Designer at Godrej and Boyce Mfg Co Ltd, where they designed a communication strategy for the launch of a new product. From 2013 to 2015, they held the role of Graphic Designer at Niksun Ad world Inc, where they were responsible for dealing directly with clients. During this time, they also held a Freelance Graphic Designer role at THINX, focusing on the brand's overall digital communications. In 2016, they joined UNICEF as a Jr. Design Strategist, Designer, and Designer (Summer Internship), where they conceptualized a series of graphic design materials and templates for print and digital use. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at UNDP as an Innovation and Design Specialist and Digital Product Designer. Most recently, they held Senior Product Designer roles at Monstarlab Americas and Submittable.

Purva Sawant obtained their Masters of Professional Studies in Branding from the School of Visual Arts between 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma Programme in Design from the National Institute of Design between 2008 and 2012. Purva also attended JAI HIND COLLEGE, MUMBAI between 2006 and 2008, where they obtained their FYJC/SYJC in Humanities/Humanistic Studies.
