Eddy Zhu

Eddy Zhu has over 12 years of work experience in the IT industry. Eddy currently holds the position of IT Architect (Director) at SMBC Group. Prior to their current role, they worked as the Gemfire/PCC/PCF operation team lead at HCSC Insurance Services Company. Before that, Eddy served as EVP/Chief Architect at Data Chester Inc., where they were responsible for building Big Data and Cloud infrastructure, defining software stacks, and designing and deploying DevOps strategy. Eddy also worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Abacus Business Computer, where they played a pivotal role in transforming the IT infrastructure to the AWS public cloud. Eddy has also held positions at Citi, Pivotal, VMware, Ingersoll Consulting Inc, Akin International LLC, and Freeborders, where they gained extensive experience in enterprise architecture, consultant roles, software development, and team leadership.

Eddy Zhu obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, completing their education between 1997 and 2001. Eddy later pursued an MBA in Business Management from Regis University, from 2007 to 2009. Eddy also holds several additional certifications, including ones in Generative AI, Data Visualization, Terraform, MongoDB for Java Developer, R Programming, and Oracle certified JAVA Associate, among others.
