Allen Tate has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Starting as a Biological Field Technician at The University of Vermont in 2011, they moved on to roles in environmental law and conservation organizations. Allen interned with The Nature Conservancy Mississippi Chapter as a Marine Program Intern and later worked at the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and the Southern Environmental Law Center. Transitioning to the legal field, Allen served as a Law Clerk at the Colorado Attorney General's Office and a Student Clinician at Vermont Law School. Allen'smost recent professional roles include positions at EDF Renewables North America, where they worked their way up from a Business Development Intern to an Associate Director in Project Development. Allen has relevant experience in development, management, and leadership roles within the renewable energy sector, including US Solar and Summit Ridge Energy.

Allen Tate completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Natural Resources at The University of the South from 2005 to 2009. Allen then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Conservation Biology at Antioch University New England from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they earned their Juris Doctor (J.D.) in Environmental Law from Vermont Law and Graduate School from 2012 to 2015. Tate is also a certified attorney in multiple states, including New Hampshire, Alabama, and Colorado.
