Cairo Amani has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. They started their career as a Community Manager at Micro Office Solutions from October 2011 to April 2013. They then worked as a Customer Success/Business Development professional at Flocabulary from September 2013 to February 2016. Cairo then joined eMarketer as a Business Development Representative from February 2016 to July 2016. They also worked as a Lead Recruiter (contract) at Just Energy from September 2016 to December 2016. In 2017, Cairo served as a Technical Recruiter at ISPOSSIBLE IN TECH from January 2017 to September 2017. Cairo launched their own career strategy service called Apply and Command in August 2016, where they worked as the Founder & Career Strategist until July 2018. Cairo also had roles at LoftSmart as a Customer Success Manager from February 2018 to August 2018, and as a Team Lead in Customer Success from August 2018 to February 2019. They then worked as a Customer Success professional at Lane from November 2019 to December 2020. In December 2020, Cairo co-founded and became the Brand Manager at ThriveNetwork, a community aimed at supporting women and gender non-conforming individuals in their careers. Lastly, Cairo is currently the Head of Customer Experience at Sunnyside (formerly Cutback Coach) since January 2021.

From 2007 to 2011, Cairo Amani attended Sarah Lawrence College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing.
