Tara Holmes is an accomplished photography lecturer at the University at Albany, SUNY, since August 2020, teaching the AART 144 Fundamentals of Photography & Related Media course across multiple semesters. As a photographer and creative director for Line Neutral Studio since July 2009, Tara has provided photography and staging services for notable clients and publications such as Beekman 1802, Airbnb, and Better Homes & Gardens. Previous experience includes roles as an Assistant Store Manager and Visual Merchandiser at Pottery Barn Kids, a Style Editor for Save the Date in the 518 Magazine, and involvement in the Electric City Couture Fashion Show as Designer Services & Retail Director. Tara also served as an instructor for high school students at The Arts Center of the Capital Region and held supervisory positions in merchandising at Gap Inc. and Benetton Group. Educational credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Photography & Lens-Based Media and a Master of Arts in Studio Art in Photography from the University at Albany, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and an Associate of Science in Fashion Merchandising.
