Dan Dunbar

Dan Dunbar has a long and diverse work history in strategic sourcing and global operations. Dan has held various roles at Ingersoll-Rand Company, including World Wide Commodity Manager and Strategic Sourcing Manager, where they were responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing significant spend across multiple categories. Dunbar achieved cost reductions, implemented best cost country sourcing, and led supplier consolidation initiatives.

At DE-STA-CO, a business unit of Dover Corporation, Dunbar served as the Vice President of Global Sourcing. Dan created and led an international strategic sourcing team, achieving significant year-over-year savings. Dan overcame internal challenges, secured support from business leaders, and implemented structured negotiations, supplier consolidation, and supplier development strategies.

Dunbar also worked at Dover Corporation as the Global Strategic Sourcing Manager. In this role, they led teams to identify and implement cost-saving strategies across multiple indirect categories. Dan influenced and collaborated with business leaders to drive savings, improved working capital, and inventory levels.

Prior to that, Dunbar worked at Suominen Corporation as the Vice President of Global Sourcing, where they played a crucial role in the company's reputation as an innovator and change agent in the nonwovens market.

Additionally, Dunbar has experience in operations management, particularly in start-up situations. Dan successfully led the start-up and operations of a greenfield manufacturing facility at Champion Road Machinery, as well as a joint venture in Wuxi, China, at Ingersoll-Rand Company.
