Jessie Barker

Jessie Barker is a Senior Behavioral Scientist with extensive experience in the public health sector. Jessie has worked for Surgo Health and Surgo Ventures as Senior Behavioral Scientist, with roles spanning from 2021 to 2022. Jessie also worked as a Public Health Scientist and Public Health Data Analyst at Alaska Department of Health and Social Services from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, they worked for The Behavioral Insights Team as an Advisor and Associate Research Advisor. Jessie has also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Santa Fe Institute and as a Research Fellow at Aarhus University and University of Arizona. Additionally, they briefly worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Pima Community College.

Jessie Barker attended North London Collegiate School from 1995-2002 for an unidentified area of study. From 2002-2005, Barker attended the University of Cambridge, earning a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences, with a focus on Zoology. Then, from 2006-2012, Barker attended Cornell University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Behavioral Biology.
