Maria Theresa Busmente

Maria Theresa Busmente has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Maria Theresa currently holds the position of Country Business Head-Philippines at SWAT Mobility. Prior to this, they were the Head of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Grab from 2015 to 2020.

Before joining Grab, Maria held various roles at Agoda between 2009 and 2015. Maria Theresa started as a Country Team Leader - Senior Market Manager before becoming a Country Partner Relationship Manager.

Their earlier work experience includes serving as the General Manager at North Star International Travel, Inc. from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager at United Airlines from 2003 to 2008. Maria began their career in 1992 as the Manager for Interline and Industry Affairs at Philippine Airlines, a role they held until 2003.

Maria Theresa Busmente attended the University of the Philippines from 1985 to 1989, where they studied Political Science and Government. Maria Theresa then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business, completing their studies in 1991.
