Andrea Haller

Biologist/project Manager at SWCA

Andrea Haller, M.S. has a diverse work experience in the environmental and biological field. Andrea has worked as a Biologist/Project Manager at SWCA Environmental Consultants since 2019, where they conducted surveys and collected data for habitat assessments, nesting birds, sensitive plants, and wildlife. Andrea also served as a Biological Monitor for environmental compliance on various projects.

Prior to that, Andrea worked as a Biologist at LSA Associates, Inc. from 2017 to 2019, where they reviewed biological projects and environmental requirements for Southern California Edison's O&M projects, coordinated fieldwork, and provided construction support.

From 2016 to 2017, they were a Biologist and Technical Specialist III at Southern California Edison via Edith Read and Associates. In this role, they completed biological reviews and provided environmental requirements for numerous O&M projects, as well as coordinating construction support and conducting field assessments.

Earlier in their career, Andrea worked as an Avian Surveys Specialist at Bloom Biological Inc., where they hiked long distances and led survey teams to observe and monitor sensitive bird species.

Andrea also gained field research experience as a Field Research Associate at Cal Poly Pomona Foundation, Inc., where they worked on the ACORN Oak Restoration Project, and as an Education Department Associate at Akron Zoological Park, where they conducted educational programs and wrote and conducted Zoo talks.

Andrea's passion for environmental conservation and restoration is evident in their early work as an SCA Intern, where they worked in the Volunteers-in-Park Program and was involved in invasive plant management and wildlife surveys.

Andrea Haller, M.S. began their education at Lorain County Community College from 1996 to 2001, where they received an Associate of Science degree with a field of study in Sciences. Following this, they attended Kent State University from 2002 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation Biology. Finally, from 2008 to 2011, Andrea pursued their Master of Science degree in Biological Sciences at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
